It was stated at the iPro forum last week that Shaun is hopeful of participating in the pre-season friendly programme.

I personally cannot see him as a pivotal figure in the Rams' defensive line-up any more - the injuries were perhaps just too severe for a complete return to his past capabilities.

I hope he does achieve fitness and can do a job for a (lower league) team and have a happy conclusion to his playing career, though.

Opinions might differ - but that is my realistic view of the situation.
