Being a bit more of a jazzer than a rocker I loved the little references to jazzmen that they would slip in. For example the intro to Rikki Don't Lose That Number is from an old Horace Silver song. Nowaday days people would sample it rather than play it, sadly.

The guitar solo is just bloody awesome, I never tire of it it has to be right up there in the top three of guitar solo's ever, not to mention the lyrics on 'Reelin' that are perfectly scripted, it's one of those songs that you sing at the top of your voice when your in your car and it comes on the radio.
Sad news of his death, what a great, great band they were.
