They’ve been arrested for gross negligence manslaughter. The accusation is that because of their negligence and failure to act on information given to them by senior doctors letby was able to carry on attacking and killing babies.
In short they failed in their duty of care. |

IF Letby’s appeal is successful and she is exonerated, I think it’s possible the people arrested could face Charges of Misconduct in Public Office based on the fact complaints and suspicions were reported to them and they allegedly did nothing, whereas they could have ordered investigations etc etc. |  | | |
