Named by the Met police as one of the 20 “hotspots” for crimes and ASB in London.
I wonder if these figures peak when we play Millwall ?
Joking apart, not a nice statistic. I still like S Bush meself….

Well many on this site think Nourry is stealing a living.

When you reach the place beyond thoughts, the only thing you'll find is love and the only purpose of life becomes to ease the suffering of others.

It's a great place and living 65 miles away from the Green for such a long time I still miss It.

I sometimes think I'll get a Red Rover ticket and spend all day just hopping on and off London buses, just for the memory of It all.

I was forever playing truant as a kid and spending my time going around London on the tube or on buses.

What days, what brilliant days, who the hell wants to sit In a classroom learning how to speak bloody French FFS.

Shepherds Bush Green eh? brilliant.

Back in the early 80's, me and a mate would red bus rover all over London. Some of the best times of my childhood.

Unfortunately it just wouldn't be the same now without the routemaster buses, having to wait for a bus stop before getting on or off. Once went arse over tit over a bin down Oxford street miscalculating the speed the bus was going when I decided to disembark 😃.

In fact my very first away game was in some way down to the red bus rover. Chelsea away 1983, my mum wouldn't let me go, because even though she knew sod all about football, she did know Chelsea fans were a bunch of cnts.

So I asked if could go red bus rovering instead. She agreed and I red bus rovered to the dog track to see us win 2-0 on our way to the title

We used to get them all the time back in the 70’s.We never did make it all the way to Hackney Wick on the 30 bus.

Mrs Taxiboy spends a lot of time in Shepherds Bush helping look after our grandchildren , she says she feels safer walking around there than in Romford where we both grew up

Peut-être oui, peut-être non.

I used to go over Hammersmith bridge on Thursdays to the Jolly Gardeners for music night.
Trouble was, it used to be 10.30 closing whilst Hammersmith was 11pm.
Luckily, there was a number 9 bus at 10.21. So I got that back over the bridge and would jump off at the roundabout. The momentum took me into the public bar of the Oxferd & Cambridge for 2 pints of Charrington IPA.

I have witnessed far too many instances of "smash n' grab" at Loftus Road.

Thoroughly enjoying my ‘second childhood’ now I’m retired from the cab trade. My newly-acquired Freedom Pass feels like a geriatric Red Rover and I’m spending the summer hopping on and off the buses (except the ones that go down the Fulham Road of course). The 148 from Camberwell Green to White City is a good ‘un.

The same further out West. On chucking out time on the Surrey side of Kew Bridge, the Kings Arms, Greyhound and Rose & Crown etc would empty, as the punters all rushed north over the bridge to the Waggon and Horses, The Plough and the Express Tavern for 11 pm (Middx hours).

What stupid licensing laws we had back then, proper criminal - still are, to a degree.

You think you had it bad, poor old Julien Stephan had to spend his whole childhood speaking French.

Still, happy ending, he now gets to work in Shepherds Bush (not sure how much time he'll be spending riding on buses though)

Whilst I still love going back to my West London roots, my family like thousands of others made the move West to the Home Counties in the late seventies, early eighties for a better life. It was probably the best thing they did. Better schools, less crime etc.

My Dad would always shake his head when I took him back to W12 to watch a game. I know nothing stays the same for ever but I think London has definitely lost a lot of its soul over the years which is a shame. Just watch some of the early Minder series to see what West London was like in that period.

I think they call it progress but I'm not so sure and reading that statistic on Shepherd's Bush is very sad.

It’s the napalm they use for all the fried chicken….love that smell, early in the morning plus Christian don’t surf.

Just surprised the cop shop hasn’t succumbed yet. Rozzer Fried Chicken would do quite well.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

If you look at the list, it basically includes all town centres - Brixton, Camden, Croydon, Ealing, Finsbury, Kingston, Shoreditch, the West End,. Anywhere that gets busy at people congregate will have issues with ASB, it isn't exclusive to Shepherds Bush at all.

I've got a few friends who have moved to the home counties - for me it's got no appeal. I love the multi-culturalism and buzz in London that you don't get in your Amersham's and Aylesbury's. They're happy with the set up but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
