Starmer/Macrons very cunning plan…. 15:46 - Jul 10 with 2810 views | Joesus_Of_Narbereth | We send them 50 migrants a week, they send 50 back. And we pay £800 million for the privilege. Meanwhile 220 have been picked up in the last hour alone. They are a pair of geniuses. What would we do without them?

Starmer/Macrons very cunning plan…. on 18:04 - Jul 10 with 1631 views | 1983 | What has this country become.....honestly! Absolutely shocking. Thatcher would never stand for this nonsense. What a pathetic country we are now Stick another zero on the end of that number and then people will start to listen. Nige must be laughing into his pint of Netwon & Riddley. We used to take more than 50 to Rochdale on a Tuesday night in the late 1980's

Starmer/Macrons very cunning plan…. on 18:57 - Jul 10 with 1608 views | gadgetuk | It's a start. People thought brexit would stop illegal immigration, it had the opposite effect as all cooperation with the eu stopped and there was no legal route to return them. This is the first agreement that will hopefully start to turn the tide [Post edited 10 Jul 18:57]

More lefties spouting their support for the small boat immigrants claiming they are not here for the freebies we offer , but escape from threats and abuse in their homelands . Mood music from Europe is , you lot left he EU why should we help you now . Pictures of cuddles with Starmer and Macron on Page 1 of the Papers , what a laugh . | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Starmer/Macrons very cunning plan…. on 06:20 - Jul 11 with 1358 views | Dr_Winston | The whole of the UK, and also parts of Europe are starting to feel like a pressure cooker turned up a bit too high. Already we've had what effectively amounted to race riots after Southport. What will happen following the inevitable next atrocity? Years of Governments ignoring their people's concerns over ever increasing mass migration and their refusal to integrate, the volume of housing and social welfare being spent on new arrivals, rising crime statistics. All of which has led us to the point where a chancer like Farage is setting the debate. It's happening abroad too. Vox in Spain are now advocating the deportation of 8m foreigners. Big, big changes need to be made, not just this tinkering around the edges. Nobody who is not a UK citizen should be eligible for non contributory benefits, social housing or access to the NHS except under reciprocal agreements. Any non citizen convicted of any crime should be immediately deported following completion of sentence. No ifs, no buts, no "right to a family life or fear of being laughed at for their stupid goatee in their home country". Gone. If their home country refuses to take them, sanctions should follow. New arrivals should be held in secure reception centres, not hotels, and immediately removed if asylum is denied following much more stringent decision making. Failure to get to grips with this will only result in a worse situation when things eventually do go South. [Post edited 11 Jul 7:07]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Not sure why you think the Rwanda plan wouldn't work ,the end result would have been that they're not here but there which I thought was the purpose of the exercise, commentators are saying that give Starmer/Macron's plan a chance but not willing to try the Tory way .The root cause of so many is the fact (despite some on here saying otherwise) is that we make it too attractive to come here ,what's the risk ratio of crossing v drowning ,quite low I'd think. money. clothing ,accommodation, phone ,now it transpires ,electric bikes and a job., all very attractive as opposed to a plane ride out to the back of beyond with little or non of the above.

We will send 50 out of those 21000 back and then France will send us 50 shiny new ones in return. It’s such a fantastic plan it will stop the boats immediately.

Maybe it's just me, but how does this reduce immigration? We let thousands in, we send a few back but have to accept legal immigrants in return. There's no gain in this and it just costs us even more money.

Starmer/Macrons very cunning plan…. on 10:47 - Jul 12 with 723 views | johnlangy | Many on this site argued that the Rwanda deal would be a deterrent even though just four volunteers went there. Now many people are complaining about this idea which would return, in the first instance, 2500 proper illegals with the UK taking back 2500 legal asylum seekers. Whether the plan will work or not this is the logic. The arrangement will start at 50 a week and when the process is shown to be working the numbers will increase. The complaint about the 2500 being deported just being replaced by a different 2500 is a bogus one. That 2500 coming in will arrive fully documented and join up with family (if that's the reason they're eligible) and be able to start work. They will not be put up in hotels, given money etc etc so will not be a drain on UK resources. The 2500 being deported will not be able to apply for the legal route. If they try to reenter the UK they will be deported again (proved by a DNA test maybe. None of us know the detail). In order to reenter they'd have to find another £5000 or whatever amount. They almost certainly won't do that because they won't be able to fund it. Then the numbers would be increased to 100/200 etc. Meanwhile the asylum backlog is dropping quickly. At the end of 2024 it was 91,000. I remember numbers of 170,000 a couple of years ago. From the little I know this is how it will work. Whether it does or not we'll have to wait and see. But even now we can see how infinitely better it is than the Rwanda scheme would have been when we know that that deal would have resulted in a few hundred being got rid of each year. If it ever worked.

That is my understanding of the plan. The idea being that eventually the message will get through that crossing the channel illegally no longer works and you will have paid to be immediately kicked out of the country
