I think i saw a post of a championship podcast describing QPR as a well run club. Not usually words seen in the same sentence together. Strange business of long term gardening leave, which went on for a long time and frustrated many fans including myself and at the time seemed a messy business and harsh. This £500k compensation to be paid now makes the muckiness have a purpose and you can only say how it has worked out, that it seems to have worked out in the best way for all concerned, Cifuentes, Nourry and QPR as a whole. i did say I didnt like the way it was done and couldn't be the b*st*rd making such decisions, but that's why I am not DoF / CoE of QPR, like most of us could not be. Anyhow hopefully it's sorted as seems to being reported. We do not have evidence as to how the season ahead will go, but there seem to be several positives. 1.New players that were in demand elsewhere, 2.Younger players ready to step up, 3.The securing of some older experienced pros, 4.Several players from last season on the upward curve. 5.A head of performance doing just this job and in the UK too 6.A new manager who is maybe another find. 7.A very experienced high level defensive coach. 8.More players that have pace and goal contribution possibilities. 9.A returning player who performed very well elsewhere. 10.The one main issue everyone had last season with lack of communication. Well a full on fans forum, admittedly before the beginning of the season, some cynically might say before things go wrong and the next one will be likewise strategically timed. 11.Even the potential of extra funds from the sale of someone whose name can no longer be mentioned. 12.And instead of losing five nil to average league One opposition, we have already beaten the mighty Stevenage from the same league one in such a manner. The theory is to aim for top half this season as there do seem to be possibilities. Start with a five nil massacre of dull and boring Preston and if we won a league cup tie, a few days after, the mood would be positively orgasmic. However, it could all disintegrate within days. A three nil reverse and two sent off against Preston and a battering in the cup from Plymouth. "The perverse optimism and downright pessimism of a Queens Park Rangers fan !!! - I am hopeful without actually believing.... [Post edited 11 Jul 0:17]
