Has Royal mail lost its way? 13:28 - Jul 15 with 633 viewsReslovenSwan1

I am missing at least 4 letters knew were sent in the last two months. Two bank cards and bank statement and an NHS appointment. That is what I know. No post for a week.
It has been flakey in my new home for a while
.
Has anyone else noticed a decline? I rang them up but that's said 5 Min wait. Two waterfalls and it was 20 mins.

I will try early doors 8 am perhaps..

I may or may not live in the Valleys. I was definitely born in Resolven. My home is closed to the great townof Neath .

Royal Mail has been in a downward spiral for years now. Even since Leighton and Crozier were put in place and the government refused to allow them to make necessary changes like changing the strict 6 day delivery to every house rule because there aren't enough letters being posted for that to be viable anymore.

Either move with the times or stagnate and die, RM is doing the latter and the Union aren't helping.

Small parcels are what are keeping the post office alive.

Just a comment on yesterday's funeral for Dudley Lewis , a fine and fitting send off for him with a guard of honour by Royal Mail workers .

Mate of mine recently retired from his job as a postie. He had a large rural round which it was impossible to cover in one standard shift. Management prioritising parcels and if that meant first class letters weren’t delivered so be it, they could be done the next day or the next day or the day after that. That isn’t in keeping with what they were supposed to do, but that was the way it worked. They wouldn’t pay OT to get the job done, but equally they didn’t like mail being brought back. He was glad to get out.

If you speak to the postie I’d imagine he’s bored senseless & chooses to give your house a miss.

Oh balls, I was relying on former colleagues to tell me when the funeral was and because I have been so busy recently I missed it. I used to work alongside Duds.

Gutted now.

I actually went to the sorting office and they responded professionally. This does not bring my post back of course. The 15 minute wait on the phone was a waste of time. The lady told me to visit the sorting office.

I share my experiences in good faith
