Promotion Odds 11:17 - Jul 16 with 1144 viewsSaintNick

Saints still second favourites behind Ipswich in all the promotion betting, to win it outright, to go be in the top 2, to be in the top 3 and to be promoted either way.

Wrexham are around 9/10th in all the categories.

I wonder how much this will all change in the next month or so as Wrexham buy players and the likes of Saints and Ipswich lose some

I think Wrexham will be mid-table.

Rumours are that Leicester will get a 9-point deduction.

Birmingham are the team to watch, I think.

They have possibly the best striker in the League in Stansfield, and are on the up.

Stansfield wasn't even the best striker in League 1 last season....19 goals scored and 9 of those were penalties.

I do agree that Birmingham will be there or thereabouts this season though and expect them to go big in the transfer market.

I thought he played really well in the Euros Under-21's last month, often playing up front on his own.

I like him, I think he's destined for a good career; not quite as high-grade as Liam Delap (who he basically replaced in the Euros when Delap got promoted to the senior squad), but there aren't many young English strikers around at the moment who are better than him.

They seem to be talking about a 60,000 stadium, so definitely going to be going for it.

Not with Bazunu in goal we won’t.

Birmingham, Cov, Bristol City, Sheffield United, Ipswich, West Brom and us will be the ones pushing for the top places i'd guess.

My money is on Sheffield United up champions and the rest will just be a hat pick. Also wouldn't be hugely surprised to see Millwall in a play off spot.

You think Sheffield United will win it with Selles in charge?

Quite the leap of faith there, old chap.

Early markets are based on what the bookies think, as we get closer to the season we might see movement in the price but they look about right to me.

After the season we have just witnessed I'm not sure we should be thinking of Promotion Odds.
Just hoping Will can give us some stability would be a positive.

Will they not be held back on spending? I am asking as i don't know if their are similar rules from L1 to CH like CH to PL. Will they be on a lower spend rate than others?
