Potentially our best signing of the summer. I like his coaching style (potentially a little mad). If we can build a solid foundation at the back then it might free up our plethora of little creative men to work their magic up front. 1-0 to the Rangers...

Good, clear communication and comes across as a likeable coach.
Only issue is there was a mallard duck that was seemingly being kept against his will and on regular occasions seemed to be squealing for hir release...

Really enjoyed watching that.

Haha I thought the duck was there to block out swearing. Great content. Loved the defensive coaching about having the same body shape as the attacker.

I'm not making any comment until we have our own super coaches seal of approval...namely Gazza

Ha Ha......
Excellent session by Bould, educating the players on the field of play, getting them to play as he (& the other coaches) want the boys to play in certain situations, more intense than i have experienced,
We may have a good addition to the coaching side of the Club in Steve Bould. I like what I have seen since MC left the Club.

In possibly my only ever ITK moment, my best mate -a Stokie - used to play Sunday league cricket with him in the early 80s…just as he’d broken into the Stoke first team. Imagine that nowadays, but it also shows a certain down to earthness that I like; the players are clearly warming to him and actively looking to learn.
A great signing by the club

A win win deal for all parties - he gets to work near his home, we get a very well respected coach for however long he’s available and he stays in the ‘Retexo family’ so once he’s ready to go back we won’t stand in his way.
It should be invaluable for the likes of Morisson to get some quality time with such a respected coach.

Good video. Looks like the players really respect him/want to learn from him.
Have to remember that none of these players will have a scooby about Boulds playing career. I remember Jimmy Dunne not knowing anything about Macca when asked on the Open All R's pod once
EDIT* I too was also impressed with the standard of coaching, and this new approach to getting the ball forward.
Looking forward to seeing who this #9 is that he wanted them to pass to

I think Ilias Chair fancies himself as a false #9. He said as much in an interview recently so it could be him. I’ve always felt he should be able to play a more central role but it’s never really happened for him. He usually has the most impact on the left with his crossing and dropping inside. Perhaps with the right players around him it could work. I don’t really see anyone else currently at the club that has shown they’re capable previously. Dembele or Madsen? Daniel Bennie maybe at a stretch 😬

That was really good. Couple of things that stood out was getting the ball forward, not back, and body shape. Although a bit worrying having he is having to coach the newly signed right back to get his shape right so as not to get rolled. U12s are coached that!
