They mostly seem to be trying to convince themselves that a manager whose last head coaching role ended in relegation, a ton of kids and maybe Salech if they can hang onto him are ideal foundations to get back into the Championship. Tan has slashed their budgets in line with the drop in income and they're currently likely to be scrapping it out for free transfers on low wages.
I said when they got relegated that they might not have hit rock bottom yet. Nothing I've seen there this Summer has changed my mind. [Post edited 19 Jul 12:46]

They seem to think that he has shown that he can "develop youth" at Man ?City, overlooking the obvious point that many of the best youth are likely to end up at a club like that anyway. | |
