Club comms have been great recently and the announcement of new stewarding seemed like another positive step. No doubt this is just teething troubles but a proper review of what instructions the new company are giving their employees might've avoided this kind of thing |  |

It was ridiculously OTT today.
The car park steward chased me to the top of the car park to say there was a 5mph speed limit and as I'd driven too fast into the car park, I had splashed him and his mate with muddy water. It had just been lagging it down for nearly an hour at this point, so....
5mph!!! How does that work in a modern car and where is the speed limit sign?
The searches were completely unnecessary and the metal detectors didn't work, as they didn't pick up my keys and coins. I got through the airport security last week quicker than I got into Spotland today.
Hopefully they will improve the experience after this 'test event'. |  |

The new ticketing system was also acting up. Myself and a mate were the first 2 through the Sandy turnstiles and his ticket said it had already been used and my ticket didn't exist...A few following also had issues...Must improve, we were also frisked including removing hats, just in case I had a sub machine gun under my Beenie..... |  |

I am sure they will. It was a complete shambles and none of the staff seemed to be trained. 85 year olds being searched. There is no way they will cope with a 2000+ attendance with this company in charge unless they change. As TVOS said, it's faster to get through airport security than it was Spotland today. On the fishul site there is a clause which says....
6. All persons seeking entrance to Rochdale AFC acknowledge RAFC’s right to search any person entering The crown Oil Arena and to refuse entry to or eject from The crown Oil Arena any person refusing to submit to such a search.
That suggests it is the club who are responsible.
On a more nuanced legal point, season tickets are only issued on the understanding that the customer agrees to the Ground Regs, so by accepting the ticket, I would have thought season ticket holders would be legally exempt from a search on entry. [Post edited 19 Jul 17:58]

It’s a “test event” so feedback from fans etc re their experience should be forwarded on to the stewarding company so that these issues can be ironed out before the real action starts.
As DA said this is one for the CAB to meet with the club & security company to sort.

They have a speed camera now, I was caught doing 6 1/2 MPH. luckily I only got a warning, they said if you was doing 8 mph its an instant £60 fine. |  | | |

There was a bloke in the Sandy turnstile scanning tickets too. Thought they were using those new machines that were installed?
The stewarding will need a review, they won’t be able to get people in quickly enough if they’re insistent on the scanning thing. Also what’s the point? The main issue at games these days are flares, scanners won’t be picking them up. |  |

The stewards were almost apologetic at what they had been asked to do at the turnstiles; if it continues in the same vein, especially if there's a last minute rush to get in, I can see fans losing patience with them, when they are presumably just following instructions. | |
