An Odd Comment By Johnny Russell 04:48 - Oct 9 with 1876 views | 1960Ram | BBC Sport has a few comments by Johnny Russell regarding the new manager. Its mostly standard stuff; the link is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24429191 The odd part is the last sentence: "We are all looking forward to working with a top manager again." Is that a slap at Clough? I don't see any other way to read it.

Hmm..not sure if Jamie Ward has ever worked for a "top" manager before - and I don't think he'd class his old mate Mickey Adams as one! Ward & Russell are hardly "top players" as yet, either. For all his recent catastrophes, Steve Mac has won trophies and been the "top" manager in England, and many Rams fans remember the revolution wrought by him & Bald Eagle that gave us the best Rams team for many a year. Onwards & upwards?
An Odd Comment By Johnny Russell on 05:25 - Oct 11 with 1825 views | 1960Ram | However we define a top manager - prob someone who has worked in the Prem, or been a national manager - then SM is one. Unless we were only without a top manager for the couple of days between NC leaving and SM arriving!!
