Mother knows Nunez better Somma option than Watt!
Mother knows Nunez better Somma option than Watt!

Having netted the winner at Motherwell in yesterday's friendly and facing up to six months without Davide Somma, surely Ramon Nunez deserves a run-out in the first-team rather than a THIRD move for Sanchez Watt.

Nunez netted a 75th minute winner after Leeds came from behind at Fir Park to beat Motherwell 2-1, Alex Bruce was the other Leeds scorer to ensure Leeds ended their mini-tour of the north with a 100% record.

As United make the long trek home, Simon Grayson will be pondering his striking options as Davide Somma is likely to be out for six-months following a horrific knee ligament injury sustained in training last week.

The South African supersub was signed, sent on-loan to Lincoln where he was a massive hit and he continued his good run with a glut of goals last season. Similarly Honduran Nunez spent time last season at Scunthorpe where he earned rave reviews despite being unable to keep the Iron in the Championship.

However reports in the Sunday Papers today are linking Sanchez Watt with a THIRD loan spell at Leeds to cover the loss of Somma. Watt seems to be part of this eternal band of Arsenal superkids who seemingly "one-day" will come good and make the Gunners a force to be reckoned with in the Prem.

Watt did well in the latter part of our League One promotion campaign, however in the Championship last season he showed very little promise and was very much a fringe player.

Surely Grayson should forget about going over old ground and give our very own tricky South American star in the making a chance?
