Leeds keeper Andy Lonergan looks certain to join Bolton having reportedly undergone a medical at the Reebok Stadium last night after the clubs agreed a fee of around £200,000. The Blues and Sheffield Wednesday were also believed to have targeted the 28-year-old former Preston man.

Lonergan is expected to be confirmed as a Bolton player later today.

Town go into tonight’s first pre-season friendly at Helmond Sport with Arran Lee-Barrett their only senior keeper (KO 7pm, local time).

The game against the Dutch Eerste Divisie side will see central defender Luke Chambers make his first appearance in a Blues shirt.
