Jewell Reasonably Pleased With Draw Tuesday, 17th Jul 2012 20:51 by TWTD.co.uk Blues boss Paul Jewell was relatively pleased with his side’s 1-1 draw at Helmond Sport in their opening pre-season friendly. The Town manager said: “It was a typical pre-season friendly, you always get a bit frustrated because you want everything to be right straight away and that’s not going to happen. “You could see how long the grass was in the first half, we couldn’t really move the ball. In the second half we did a lot better, we got something out of the game - a bit of fitness.” Jewell believes Michael Chopra’s goal was the reward for hard graft over the summer: “He’s done really well, he’s been very sharp, he’s worked extremely hard over the close season. We sent him away with the fitness coach to California and hopefully we’ll see the benefit of that.” Story syndicated from TWTD.co.uk Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
