Leeds Or Swans: Monday Decision Expected?

Andy Robinson says that he will make a decision on Monday over where he will ply his trade next season

The player is reported and rumoured to be mulling over a move to the side who on Sunday will take on Doncaster at Wembley for a place in the Championship.    And last week Roberto Martinez put a 10 day deadline on Robinson's signature - a deadline that expires two days before that game and which meant that Robbo would have needed to make his decision before knowing where Leeds play next season.

But the player has now said that he will not be rushed into making the decision and it will be confirmed next week whether he is to extend his stay at the Liberty or seek pastures new if unable to agree terms.

The club have been reported in some quarters as making a double your money offer to the player although rumours elsewhere have suggested that Leeds have upped that offer even more which is causing the thinking time needed.

Speaking in the Evening Post, Robinson said "A decision will definitely be made by Monday

"If it takes me until Monday to reach a decision then that is what it will be.

"Over the next week it will be sorted out. The offer is on the table and we are considering it."

Whether the club elect to play hard ball on the deadline remains to be seen but in any event from where we are at the moment at least the end is near no matter what the player decides from here on in.
