PREVIEW

You can say one thing about our trips to Hull, they certainly tend to produce some goals. 93 have been scored in 28 meetings between these two sides at Boothferry Park and a glance at the league table would suggest a few for the home side and not many for us on Saturday.

In those 28 meetings, al least five goals have been scored on 9 occasions and I am sure that most people remember that bizarre game under Molby which we managed to lose by seven goals to four.

I'm not predicting that there will be a goal glut on Saturday, far from it. My prediction programme thinks a one-goal win for the home side which will continue their unbeaten run this season and if you take away the play-off semi-finals last season, Hull are unbeaten in 18 league games.

This will be a big test for Swansea and the new management team. A marked improvement by all accounts on Tuesday night at Scunthorpe which is a good start and this must continue into this game.

I cannot see any real changes to the line-up. Addison and Nicholas seem to have laid their stall out with a three at the back formation. It's a new one to the players at the moment as it was something that Hollins very rarely used. There hasn't been any news as I write on the fitness of Nathan Tyson so I cannot say whether he will be in or not but the old feeling in the water says he won't be. John Williams and Stuart Roberts up front again is my guess.

Most concerning at the moment is the way we appear to be unable to stop the goals going in at the other end. Jason Smith is still a way from fitness and the solid defence that won us the 3rd divison title two years ago is just not there at the moment. This has to be a worry to the new management team and something that needs to be worked on. We are now at the stage of the season where the league table begins to take shape and defeat here, whilst strengthening the claim for Hull to go up starts to drag us into the real depths of the division.

Sadly, I think Hull are too strong for us at the moment and I cannot see anything other than a home win by one goal to nil. Let's hope that this time I'm wrong!
