Saints Plug Leaks With A Cork

Saints have put a Cork in the holes in their defence.

Saints have signed Jack Cork, son of ex Wimbledon legend Alan, on loan till the new year.

Cork who played for Scunthorpe at St Mary's last season seems to be highly rated up at Glanford Park where he picked up 9 player of the season awards at the end of his loan spell there.

Whilst still only 19 he has experience in the Championship with Scunthorpe, a division that he seems well able to shine in, if the accolades from Scunthorpe are anythng to go by, he has also had two short loan spells at Bournemouth.

Able to play anywhere across the back as well as in the centre of midfield, at 6ft tall he seems to have a physical prescence about him despite his youth.

A quick troll on the internet reveals that Norwich City had tried to get him on loan in the summer and that Sheffield Wednesday were vying with us to capture him now, as well as Aberdeen.

Cork looks to be a good deal for Saints, and fans dismayed at the loss of Andrew Davies would do well to give Cork a chance to prove that he can step into the Ex Saints boots, in truth Davies first games for Saints werent a success, but we gave him leeway and we should do the same for our new loan signing.
