Swansea City Supporters Trust have announced that they have appointed Huw Cooze as successor to Leigh Dineen as Supporter Director.

Huw takes over from Leigh who stood down as Supporter Director at the recent AGM of the Trust but will retain his position as Vice-Chirman of the Football Club.

Huw has worked with the Supporters Trust since it's inception in the summer of 2001 and has for the past twelve months held the position of Associate Director having previously been Vice Chair. He was recently voted back onto the Trust board for a one year period.

Huw has been a Swansea City fan for close on forty years and has his own business within the City. Commenting on the appointment, Huw said "It is a tremendous honour for me to be voted in as a Director of the club I have supported for so long and even more so as the representative of my fellow supporters.

"I will ensure that their interests are looked after within the football club and that we continue to take our position of strength forward."

Trust Chairman Phil Sumbler added "The Supporters Trust would like to thank Leigh Dineen first off for his hard work in the past five years in his role. The Trust would not be in the position it is now were it not for his work in getting the club to where it is. We are confident that in Huw we have made the right decision and whilst Leigh is a very hard act to follow I am sure that our members will find Huw equally as approachable and determined to see the club growing."
