Swans youngster Kerry Morgan has joined Port Talbot on loan as part of a link up announced in the summer between the two clubs.
Morgan is just breaking into the professional ranks at Swansea but is unlikely to feature in the first team short term so the Swans see it as beneficial to loan him out to the Welsh league side.
Morgan scored for the reserves in a 3-2 defeat by Bristol City on Wednesday night at the Re/Max Stadium and he also featured heavily in a pre season game at the same ground.
Former Swans goalkeeping coach Tony Pennock told Port Talbot's official web site We were guilty of missing chances and I'm looking for an improvement in that area against Newtown" and he hopes that Morgan will go some way to filling that particular vacancy.
Morgan joins a whole host of people at the club who have Swansea connections including Chad Bond and assistant manager Paul Reid.
