Swansea City are being linked with a move for Coventry keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos

Konstantopoulos has fallen down the pecking order at the Ricoh Arena and looks set for a move out - potentially even before the transfer window closes a week on Monday.

The summer arrival of Keiren Westwood seems to have restricted his appearances any more and Hartlepool are also being linked with a move for their former keeper.

However, rumours suggest that the Swans are one of two Championship clubs who are interested in the shot stopper especially with Roberto seemingly looking for someone who can provide serious competition for Dorus De Vries.

The Hartlepool mail reports that a loan move is more likely but Konstantopoulos would rather remain in the Championship and told the paper "There are three clubs at the moment who are waiting for me to get back to fitness. Two of them are Championship clubs and Hartlepool are the other one.

"At the moment I am considering my options. There are three other keepers at Coventry so for me to get back in the team will be a bit hard.

"It is a bit touch and go for a move before the transfer window, but it is not a massive deal because the loan window opens up a week later.

"I feel that I am good enough to compete at Championship level at least."
