He's going down Blackpool, alright

Reports from the seaside suggest that Bobby Grant has agreed terms with the Championship club and will sign for Blackpool following the completion of a medical.

Dale boss Keith Hill had admitted that Blackpool had bid for the services of Grant last week, and whilst unhappy at it being leaked before the game at Halifax on Saturday, he expected the Tangerines to come back with a bigger offer for the former Accrington striker.

But it would appear that Blackpool have done just that, with Paul Ince talking to the local press about the proposed move. He said "We have Bobby Grant in on Wednesday to hopefully get a medical done. That’s a big boost. He’s a very good player. Sixteen goals in a season is a great return for a young player."

His time at Spotland was very much a mixed bag. Eighteen goals was a fantastic return for a young striker (two were for Scunny) but it was a season that came with controversy with suspensions for two sendings off and an accumulation of yellow cards. He was also accused of racially abusing a Dagenham opponent in January in a case which has yet to be concluded by the courts.
