Dale defender Rory "The Wall" McArdle starred for Northern Ireland as they defeated Finland in a friendly on Tuesday. The Finns took a first half lead, but two goals in the second half helped the Irish to victory.

The game was part of the build up to a couple of European Championships that they have coming up in September against Germany and Luxembourg. A Puustinen goal put Finland ahead, but the Northern Irish side fought back to win 2-1 with goals coming from Tottenham's Keiran McKenna and Hearts' Jonny Taylor.
