Wolves Eye Up Britton Move?

Just as it seemed certain that Leon Britton was heading to the States and MLS, Football League World are reporting that Wolves - and former Swans boss Kenny Jackett - are lining up a move for the midfielder who seems certain to leave Swansea this summer.

Britton was left at home whilst the rest of the squad went to Germany for their pre-season camp because of "limited game time opportunities" and he played this week for the Under-21s against Wrexham at Landore.

That seemed to be the biggest hint yet that his time at Swansea was coming to a close and he admitted this week that there had been interest from clubs in America although there had been no formal move made for the player.

Orlando City are reported to be at the front of the queue to sign Leon but now there could be a potential move for him to consider from this country if the reports are to be believed.

The website reports " FLW understands Wolves boss Kenny Jackett is considering making a move for the veteran midfielder who he had worked with whilst in charge of the Swans between 2004 and 2007.

"Jackett is preparing to let Lee Evans leave on loan whilst their is speculation that Kevin McDonald could be set to leave the Molineux this summer after turning down the offer of a new contract."

I'm genuinely not sure that even if Wolves did come forward that Leon would take it - for me MLS is still the clear favourite for him to move to should it come to that but it's always interesting to see what is being said for nothing other than it creates debate.
