Llorente Attracts Swans Praise

Fernando Llorente's performance at Burnley has attracted some strong reviews from his managers and team mates as the Spaniard made his debut by playing a big part in the decisive goal that gave the Swans a victory.

Llorente's header from a Montero cross was only parried by Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton into the path of Leroy Fer who struck to score the only goal of the game and start our season with the win that we wanted.

But his performance was enough to gain credit from some of the people who work closely with him with manager Francesco Guidolin even believing that he could fight his way back into the Spain squad.

"It was a good game for him, a good 90 minutes. I thought it was not possible for him to play 90 minutes because it's his first week for us but he played very well.

"Now I understood why he played for Spain and I hope he can play again with the international team."

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was another to add his praise to that of the manager when he said "Fernando has that physical presence that can help us in difficult times,

"For me personally it's a bit easier. When we're under pressure and I have to kick a longer ball. I know he can do the job for us."
