Manchester City 1-0 Rams - Quick report
Manchester City 1-0 Rams - Quick report
Wednesday, 15th Aug 2007 21:48

The Rams were by no means outplayed, but were unable to score and lost due to a goal by City's Michael Johnson.

Derby started off brightly and although the chances for both teams were few and far between, it was Derby that looked the most likely to score.

That is, until a few minutes before the break when 19-year-old Michael Johnson broke free in the middle where there were no Rams defenders in sight and hit a powering shot out of reach for Bywater.

The second half didn't start off too badly either, but as the game went on, the equaliser never quite looked like coming and Kasper Schmeichel had a good game in goal for the home team.

Tyrone Mears once again put in a great performance for the Rams and is quickly becoming the best player in the squad at the moment.
