Leeds are expecting a capacity crowd for the game which could see us equaling our best ever start to the season.

The record currently belongs to the legendary Don Revie side, who won the first seven games of 1973/4, and remained unbeaten for 29 games in total on their way to the league Championship. But although the current squad have already chalked up six victory, Dennis Wise was keen to play down the significance of this statistic when he spoke to the official site, and stressed that despite the results we have achieved so far, there have been a couple of games when the team could have played better.

“I'm not interested in records.  I just hope it's another good afternoon. We've performed well so far. In some games, there's been one or two halves where we've not performed and it'd be nice to get a game where we perform all the way through. That's difficult to achieve, but it would be nice. We've also got to keep a clean sheet because the front two are capable of performing. Swansea like to play, and they've won their last three games. They like to keep hold of the ball, and they've got players who can cause problems”.

Leeds will still be without Alan Thompson, who is still sidelined with his groin problem and Wise told the official site that it’s too soon for a comeback. "Thommo is not going to be fit. He's still struggling with his groin. He's not a million miles away, but it's one where if you risk him it could be another couple of weeks”. Wise has no new injury problems and confirmed that Flo is back in training. Of the longer-term casualties, Shaun Derry (heel) is still sidelined, but Leon Constantine (ankle) could be back before the end of October.

It’s already confirmed that the game will see the biggest crowd of the season to date and the official site is advising everyone to book tickets in advance, to make sure they don’t get locked out. At 9:30am yesterday 25,270 tickets had been sold, and the current capacity is 31,500, while the upper East Stand is out of action. As Bates has arranged a council tax reduction with the council while it is out of use, it will take approximately 14 days to be in a position to be able to use it “should there be sufficient demand in the future”.

Swansea will have the backing of almost 3,000 fans after today’s announcement that we have sent them another batch of 400 tickets for the game. They will be without midfielders Leon Britton and Andy Robinson who both picked up hamstring injuries in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Cheltenham. They could be replaced by Ferrie Bodde returning from suspension and Paul Anderson making his first league start, while defender Marcos Painter is fit. Tom Butler could also play his first game of the season in midfield.

The Swans are aiming to get at least a play-off place this season, after losing in the 2006 play-off final and finishing seventh last season. They now seem to be running into form after a dodgy start saw them pick up only four points from the first four games, as they have since beaten Cheltenham and Carlisle.

My predictions are notoriously rubbish, but what the hell. I’ll go for Leeds to get that seventh successive victory.
