One thing I will always respect brenden for is the fact he looked after the club by signing a deal knowing he was looking at a move onto better things,he could have stayed on his rolling contract but didn't and we got a lump of cash for him.
He payed the market price for Allen and gave us a decent price for jonjo and encouraged him to take the move to us to improve his football.
Martinez did a lot for us but even as a player he was ruthless in contract dealings , considering we took him from. The scrap heap of non league football and took a massive chance on him he has rewarded us with very little apart from doing the job he was paid to do . |

I can't see anyone offering over £20M unless he has an exceptional WC. 'Daddy Cool' has had a great season for us but has only had one season in the PL. If they had gone for Michu after one season they'd have been fooked. If he gets another 20+ this coming season then you will see some serious offers next summer. Everton would be better off paying that money for Lukaku who is only 21. Arsenal will look to Remy or Benzema IMO and Wilf wouldn't fit into Brenda's current team. |  | | |

Sadly you could well be correct but its the market place.He has been the singularly the most influencial player of any team in the PL;he kept us in PL virtually on his own- in fact no virtual about it. He s still raw and under a top coach and in a truly big team he ll be a massive player. I truly believe this CAT and selling him will be selling the Club s jewels.
If they cannot resist the lure of a big offer then really this is the figure they should be looking at. Its eye watering to many but sadly many Swans fans still think small time.
As I say if we were to sell then I d demand every single penny be ploughed back into getting two top international replacements.

I ll just add, so that some are fully aware ,we are not the ramshackle ragarsed outfit we once were unable to sign even a loanee and only able to source and sign fifth rate players from the basement .Some go on about these days it gets me kinda cross forever harking back to those days and pleading with us to be so humble and grateful for where we are.

WE ARE NOT SMALL TIME but too many see us as "small". We are in relative terms income wise but we are in the Elite League and comfortable in it.
Its maybe a CARDIFF media thing to keep us in our place- to keep us down. Well tough titties to them.
My point is that we really are big time and probably will stay there but not all of us have that mentality.

I don't think Everton can afford him-as has been said, if they can afford Bony, they can afford Lukaku who they'd prefer to sign. I also don't think moving there is the right step for Bony's career.
