I have always thought we were better but I am not so sure now. On top of our game and playing our best then we can beat them but I suspect that is the case for any side in the Prem as far as we are concerned.
Having said that we could easily have beaten then down here and we still have a good shout at theirs. |  |

In a 1 on 1, I think we are better than Southampton. The sending off of Bony this season ,last season's fluff by our keeper taken into account and last season's away game indicate we will do well again.
Overall (not 1 on 1), Southmapton are better imo in the sense that they adjust against other teams more quickly than we do.
GM esq made 3 sub on Satrurday that makes me think he may be getting the hang of playing our squad. I don;t think Britton, Siggy, Routs, Dyer, JJS have been on top form recently and suspect they are carrying injuries which means they can last 60/70 and are pacing themselves accordingly.
Overall we are not better than Southampton but players can change and improve and we can do this again in future and continue to aim upwards at the top 6. |  | | |
