Tax needn't be taxing... 22:57 - Mar 5 with 8727 views | blueytheblue | ... I believe the phrase was. Corbyn wants to try to point score by releasing his tax returns. Last year, filed late I do believe so he was fined. This year he declares 117k of income. 35k or so of that was pension and benefits. The story however is that his return seems to have omitted 40k as Labour leader from his return. So was it a mistake ( can't get tax returns sorted correctly on a regular basis ), was it that he declined the pay ( do Labour do performance related pay? ) or is he a stinking tax dodger. Only Jezza can make an attempted point about others taxes and make such a pigs ear of it that the story is now about him.

Why are they a bunch of c@nts? Because they see he's unelectable as PM? Because they see the chaos at PLP meetings? Because they see the Labour vote reducing?

Because the aforementioned bunch of c@nts (the Blairites) are bought and paid for Neoliberals, who serve the same paymasters as the utter shysters in your own party bluey. If you stopped viewing reality through the distorted lens of our joke of a media (as far as I'll get to a rant today...) a very different picture emerges. Corbyn isn't perfect, perhaps an understatement... What he is, is a pacifist. This is really bad for business as far as the powers that be think. He's also someone who would stop the gleeful asset stripping of the country that is occurring at the moment. Again, that's bad for business. Hence the constant attacks by certain areas of the press. Generally the ones owned by billionaire nondom oligarchs. Why the f*ck the public not only believe what these publications write - even worse they bloody pay for it. Baffles me, seriously. Being objective, here's a link to a LSE from 2015 to the media's reporting of Corbyn. It's worth a read to see how he's been framed and portrayed. https://www.lse.ac.uk/media@lse/research/pdf/JeremyCorbyn/Cobyn-Report-FINAL.pdf Slight aside - around 250,000 marched in London on Saturday in protest over more NHS cuts. The largest NHS rally How many publications owned by the likes of Murdoch, Rothermere, Desmond and the Barclays would have mentioned it? http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/thousand This tax thing is bollocks bluey. An utter non story. Yet you couldn't wait to point score. They couldn't wait a day to do their due diligence? Nonsense.

Tax needn't be taxing... on 14:07 - Mar 7 with 1164 views | blueytheblue | Ah yes here we go.. it's all a neolib conspiracy. Presumably to sell tinfoil. Re: LSE. "As media and communication scholars we have been troubled by the problematic way in which the British media has systematically attacked Jeremy Corbyn ever since he came to national prominence in the summer of 2015!" Nothing like starting a supposedly impartial independent report with such clear bias in favour of it's subject. Funnily enough I doubt they were that concerned at the far greater scorn poured upon Kinnock. LSE, let's not forget were paid £40k for a report on Kid's Company in 2015 which funnily enough gave Camilla Batshitcrazy a glowing report. Daily Mail certainly mentioned the march. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/thousand As for the tax thing... what do you seriously expect? The tax return contained an oddity. Corbyn's advisors were queried as to why it was not listed under salary - they didn't know. Government accounts showed a different figure, classed it as "salary". It was only then fully explained. Are you seriously saying that people wouldn't question in the same manner if it was a Tory? Of course they would. My point has never been that he's fiddled taxes. My point has always been that in trying to make a political point, he's yet again done it in a cack handed way that has backfired. He could easily have avoided the media splurge by providing the context in his post. He instead felt just putting pictures of his return up were enough. Given when he revealed his tax return last year it emerged he'd filed it late and was thus fined, it's naive to think the media wouldn't look for any oddities this year. As they would with any politician doing the same. It's yet more evidence Corbyn simply doesn't think things through. He doesn't anticipate what could go wrong. His view tends to be that he's had a "good idea". The idea then is the focus, ignore the details surrounding it. That is one of many reasons why he'll never be PM.

I agree even though I would not put it like that. ;-) There is enough talent on the Labour benches to help get the message out there and speak with a united voice. Of course there are disagreements. God knows there are enough in the Tory party. It is the reason we are in this Brexit mess now. I think there needs now to be upheaval at Branch level. They need to get those who are not supportive of the Leadsrship out. Many are stealing a living sitting in their hands.
