If (as I sincerely hope) Potter is broadly happy with what has happened during the window then presumably the extensive cost-cutting that has resulted will make the Club more attractive to another buyer sooner rather than later.

If, for example, we had spent like Stoke, using up big chunks of the parachute payments without getting promoted then it would take that much longer to plug the apparent black hole in the finances. In that situation, it is difficult to see another buyer looking seriously at us.

Of course, all of the above is predicated on any new buyer being more acceptable to us as supporters which, in turn, would probably need the sellers to do effective due diligence on them....
