Week 33 results BURNLEY 2 BRENTFORD 1 Only a second home win this season for Burnley as they boosted their slim hopes of Premier League survival against 10-man Brentford. Only thrillseeker and burnsieespana got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Brentford. MIDDLESBROUGH 0 BLACKBURN ROVERS 0 Middlesbrough and Blackburn fought out a bore draw in the Championship - a result that helped neither side. Nobody had this spot-on, but 3 did get the outcome. The other 23 predicted a win for Middlesbrough, with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was equally the weeks most predicted score. ROTHERHAM UNITED 0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 0 Rock bottom Rotherham claimed their first point in 10 games as they battled to a bore draw against 10-man Huddersfield, and only managing one shot on target in the process. Well done to Blue4U2 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 5 had the outcome. DERBY COUNTY 1 BOLTON WANDERERS 0 Kane Wilson's header gave Derby victory over their promotion rivals, In front of over 32,000, the biggest attendance in League One this season. 3 had this spot-on, and a further 13 got the outcome, with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks other most predicted score. PETERBOROUGH UNITED 0 PORTSMOUTH 1 Portsmouth took another big step towards the League One title with a vital victory at promotion rivals Peterborough, who only had one shot on target. Only oxfcolu and TheRams got this spot-on, and another 5 had the outcome. ACCRINGTON STANLEY 2 NOTTS COUNTY 2 Notts County halted a run of five successive defeats but had to settle for a point, as Accrington twice came from behind to get a draw. Nobody had this spot-on, though 6 did get the outcome. What an abysmal week this was, and by 12 points it was easily the worst one in the season so far. It could have been worse, as the two bore draws was on the way to being four, until the late goals for Derby and Portsmouth. Only 8 spot-ons in total, so burnsieespana did well to be the only one to get 2 of them, the wins for Burnley and Derby, and the Rotherham outcome, to make him the weeks top scorer with a decent 7 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was Blue4U2, who got that good Rotherham 0-0 prediction, and three outcomes, to give him a decent 6 points. Even though the 1-1 has easily been the top result so far this season, draws overall have fallen below the usual 25% average. That is until the last two weeks, where 8 in the 12 games, has brought them back to the 25%. In fact with more goals being scored, meaning less 1-0's, and what seems like more unpredictable results, we are back to historic levels with overall results. The 238 games have finished with 96 (40.34%) homes, 82 (34.45%) aways, and 60 (25.21%) draws. In the Premier Another low scoring week is good news for concordman, as it is another 6 games ticked off, where it is difficult for his lead to be cut. In fact his two outcomes increased it by a point from blueeagle, who remains in the other Charity Shield spot. It is by only a point now, as a useful 4 points for thrillseeker, closed the gap. After there were 5 draws in Week 32, I thought that RSCOSWORTH might have shut the stable door after the horse had bolted, by going 1-1 all games this week, but three outcomes were enough to move him up a place, in what was the only change in this division. At the bottom, a low scoring week did no favours to those looking to escape. By getting that Portsmouth 1-0 spot-on, oxfcolu increased his chance of surviving by a point. In Division One With one outcome each, there is no change at the top, as basher2010 remains ahead of Daniel on the most 3 pointer rule. Another good week for Lewis_1, that included having the Derby 1-0 spot-on, moved him to within 5 points of the automatics. Back up a place to fouth again is BFG, after he also got the Derby 1-0 spot-on. The top scoring performance from burnsieespana moved him up a couple of places, and back into the play-offs, after six weeks away. One outcome for bwildered was enough for him to occupy the final play-off place. The decent week for Blue4U2 moved him up a place, and to within a point of the top six. After waiting patiently to get into a play-off spot, Tropical_Us drops out again, after spending a week there. The rest of the league remains the same as the previous week. THE TABLES (238 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 34 Fixtures The last International break this season, so it is 6 games from League's 1 & 2.
