I wouldn't bank on it - but a worthy effort for charity causes!
Villa, Ireland and Rams journolegend Paul McGrath has recorded an album of cover versions, and there's a whimsical YouTube clip of his take on "Goin' Back" to see on the link:

The sloppy journalist credits the song to The Byrds (a wonderful version, but it's Carole King & Gerry Goffin's classic, which Dusty and Nils Logren also had landmark versions released).
They also credit A Good Year For The Roses" to Elvis Costello...again, a big hit - but Jerry Chesnut penned it!
