If there was a choice... 13:17 - Oct 25 with 994 viewsdavram

OK - we've seen the mad merry-go-round of managers in the Championship at full speed recently, with two ex-England managers landing at clubs "with potential and ambition", yet being bombed out in fairly quick order.

Can high profile managers cut it in the Championship nowadays? It would seem not.

McClaren lasted a few weeks in Nothingham, Sven Yawn Rickety spend £20m in a year seemingly getting nowhere. Apart from catching the Rams on a bad day, naturally.

Sven has made a mint from England at club & international level - he's ultimately a mercenary. I think McClaren had better intentions at F*rest (before he was "turned" by our agents) but perhaps struggled to get ordinary players to raise their game consistently.

It seems that NC is capable of doing this without breaking the bank - and has put into place a productive Academy system.

If we could choose between Clough and either of those two unemployed characters, who would argue to change?
