A creditable but fruitless performance in the narrow defeat at Cardiff put paid to any Derby play-off hopes; the consolation of helping to condemn Pompey to relelgation was a reward of sorts, as other clubs grabbed the season's spoils.

Looks like we're passing the time until next August, folks....and how many Augusts after that, if GSE keep on adding a further five-year time scale to the promotion 'plan'?
