Reports suggest that F8Rest, whose new owners want a 'name' manager, are of interest to Sven Gormless Eriksson:

After the Foxes' Sven-led fiasco and the McLaren hoot at the Gun City Ground, this ludicrous possibility could add entertainment to the first thee months of the new season!

What do you think....?

Well, there you go....the Trees have abandoned the 'star name' approach and instead re-engaged Sean O'Driscoll as the new boss!

He's an ex-Trees' coach, Crawley Town boss for 2 months without them playing a competitive game under his stewardship, an achiever when at Doncaster Rovers....

He'll probably fare better than Sven (who wouldn't?)

It's a pity that the fun factor may have been taken out of our Tree-watching, as O'Driscoll will get down to tactics and coaching and might tidy up the shrubbery that's been shambling around the Gun City stadium and training patch.

If SOD (for that is he) wants to get F*rest playing the way his Doncaster team did at their zenith, he'll have to get busy in the transfer market.

Will the new owners give him time to craft a squad? Perhaps he'll take "sick note" Tyson back...

"Tys" is certainly not one of our much-vaunted (but not by fans) "striking options" that Glick & Clough have bravely promoted.
