Breaking News: Big DCFC Announcement Anticipated? 19:34 - Nov 13 with 1428 viewspkay_brum

Seems to be a buzz around and supported by Radio Derby references to a significant imminent announcement from PPS.

Due to happen this evening with RD interviews in the morning.....it doesn't seem like hearsay or a wind-up. Anyone heard owt?

Speculation abounds and other forums are alive with suggestions, including:

*Another Prem loan player
*Return of Eranio in some capacity
* New owners/investors
*Return of P Gadsby to club in some capacity re: investment/Plaza
*Stadium naming rights
* Safe standing plans

My money's on new investment/sponsorship via naming rights, perhaps a management change and gearing-up the club for Prem challenge was part of the strategy?

If nowt happens - don't shoot the messenger....no smoke without fire?

Hope it's good news - strike up the band!

It IS stadium naming rights:

Now called "The iPro Stadium" - £7m naming rights deal with the drinks company:

At this point, it's also worth revisiting the Telegraph article that features an interview with Sam Rush, post-Clough:

The SNR deal would seem to be part of the club's strategy to balance FFP and further the club's strengthening aspirations of on-field progress and success (at last)....will DCFC soon be fit for the Prem??

Here's today's overview of stadium naming rights - seemingly the new commercial currency & culture of football clubs:

Just raising this subject a couple of years ago in relation to DCFC caused much hand-wringing amongst some fans - it even induced some condemnation aimed directly at those that dared to do so!

DCFC's announcement yesterday seems to have been met largely with enthusiasm by fans - or at least with equanimity by most.

Have those troubled fans abandoned their precious principles, or just accepted life in the real world?
