RamsTrust@ DW Soccerdome: Can The Rams Scupper Pompey? 09:17 - Nov 6 with 373 viewsRamsTrust

Few supporters have been through the terrible traumas experienced by Portsmouth FC fans in recent times. Relegation and the club’s 10-point penalty have followed the financial disarray of previous regimes as Pompey now rebuilds.

Pompey fans can travel to their fixture with Derby County at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday 6th November on the crest of a wave after their team’s recent recovery.

They have won 6 out of their last 7 games, so their relegation hangover has been shaken off. Nigel Clough thinks the match could be Derby’s sternest test yet to measure if recent progress is providing firm roots of a true Rams’ recovery.

Derby County embarked on an excellent run with one defeat in 8 games whilst Pompey shot from the bottom of the table to a top ten berth. With Derby’s irresistible home form and Pompey’s powerful form, something has to give on Saturday! Sky Sports TV viewers will also be able to watch the clash live at 5.20 pm.

RamsTrust will be holding an extended Rendezvous at the DW Soccerdome foyer between 1.00 pm and 4.45 pm before the game - and we’d love to hear your views on the season so far. Who are your early-season candidates for Player of the Season?

Does Derby have enough quality and strength in depth to maintain their challenge? What should the club’s January action plan be when the transfer window opens once more? Will we have sufficient cover when the loan forwards return to their clubs at the end of the year? Could Chris Porter and Steve Davies make telling returns to the squad after injury?

We’ll have our Rams heritage displays on show and goals’ footage on DVD for your pleasure as well the latest edition of the matchday Ram on sale. It’s a late kick-off, so please come and take advantage of our great merchandise range.

We have on offer many desirable Rams-related books, DVDs and other gifts and we’re certain that we can help you to get in some early Christmas shopping!

We’ll also bring you all the news as it unfolds from the earlier games around the nation in a football feast of a Saturday! The Rams are nudging a top six spot and Portsmouth will want to sustain their momentum in front of the TV cameras - so who will win through?

Join us at the DW Soccerdome Rendezvous before the match - see you there!
