Myself nor any of my family members I was with were involved in any 'exchanges' and to be honest from where I was sat I did not hear any foul language prior to the incident. There were comments made when Logan tried to go up field for the corner but not swearing...that's why Hillys reaction surprised me. Because I immediately moved away from the area I cannot comment on what was said by fans to the directors. I know that Hillys reaction was to a small minority of the fans but it affected a larger majority of people that had not said a word. In my opinion no matter how much stick a manager gets, to react in such a manner wasn't right and as I have said Hilly has apologised and I respect that. Me personally have nothing to apologise for I'm just gutted that it happened yesterday and no matter what anyone's opinion is, we are all there to support the team and want to enjoy the matches. It's history now and hopefully it can be put to bed and we can move forward starting with a win at Oxford!! |

Are we not a family club? I have followed dale for many years and I made the decision to take my daughter, knowing that she may hear some bad language, however I wanted her to enjoy it like I do and hopefully for it to become a family day we can enjoy together. It would not matter where I sat...as i highlighted in hindsight maybe she is too young. But I posted on here, not to moan but because I was disappointed that it was the manager that created that atmosphere yesterday and the first thing I did was remove her from the situation. Hilly has acknowledged his moment of madness and apologised and I respect that. |

I have just watched the interview on Daleplayer and agree that he is honest and sincere in his apology. For me personally I accept that and move on. In my posts I have said he needs to realise that his behaviour was not right. He has done that and I will be at the next game, don't know if my daughter will be though! 😜 |

I don't know what the answer is if I'm honest!! I just know that when it happened I picked up my daughter and wanted to leave the ground.ive never posted on here before but needed to vent my disappointment! I think that because of the man hilly is, an apology would go a long way. I know that it was aimed at a small selection of the fans but it has impacted a large majority of the supporters. I think Hilly just needs to realise that he has done wrong. 😔 |

I don't think it matters what he was reacting to...he is a professional and should not be swearing and gesturing to the crowd when there are children present....no matter how angry or frustrated he is. It was quite clear that it was aimed at a certain section of the fans as seconds before our goal, he turned and shouted "shut the f@@k up"!! I'm just disappointed that it has happened! |

I didn't say he should be replaced! I think he is a good manager and has turned our club around since he came back. I'm just very angry by what he did today and feel that he needs to take responsibility for his actions and realise he can't react like that within his role! |

I am upset by what happened today. I made the decision at the beginning of the season to take my 4 year old to the home games. I except that during a game there is bad language used and with hindsight maybe my decision to take my child so young was wrong. However how Hilly reacted today, not only the language but the gesture, to me is unacceptable. I was fuming that my child had to see that from the manager of our club! I appreciate what Hilly has done for the club but with all his experience he should know that he cannot act like that. He is a professional football manager and should realise that families are at the games! I won't be taking my little one again! |
