Fan Responsibilty
at 12:15 11 Dec 2016

That isn't all we ask for though. I genuinely believe this group of players give it their all, I just don't think they are good enough. I don't think anyone 'hides' on the pitch. I do believe that some players go for the easiest option because they are scared of making a mistake as they know that if they do the fans will jump on them and start booing them.

We ask for players who care and who try their hardest, and we have that. However that can't be all we ask for because we still aren't happy.

Watching another team

I go over to Germany a couple of times a season to watch Borussia Dortmund. Always feels like that is what football should be and what we are missing out on here.

New 'song' for Charlie??
at 17:37 1 Sep 2015

So after he tweeted this to confirm he is staying, anyone else think we should give the humming bit at the end a go for Charlie?? Could be impressive with enough people doing it!

Why would anyone want to play for QPR?!
at 18:44 8 Aug 2015

Ok, the second half and the result today are poor, very poor, but ask yourself why any player/manager/coach would want to be involved with our club?!

The players get slated and booed after one poor performance. One. Possibly even only one half, if we are honest. Polter got 10 minutes today and yet someone behind me proudly announced that he is 'f***ing useless' and should 'f**k off back to Germany'. Konchesky was another to come in for it. First half, when the players were trying to pass the ball around and create things with possession football, people around me were moaning that we needed to go more direct. More direct!! Second half the same fans were moaning that we were just hoofing it!

Football is all about opinions, and we will all have differing opinions about who is good, who isn't etc. However I am really struggling to see why we have so many fans that are so keen to get on the players backs if they aren't 3-0 up by half time.

If Austin had any thoughts about staying (I'm not suggesting he does, I imagine he has known he is going to leave for months) then being booed off the pitch today will only have killed those thoughts off completely.

Just fed up with the negativity at Rangers, why can't we turn up and back the team for 90 minutes each week?!

Anyone know why this game is being played in Barnet? And is it expected to be a first team game or a QPR XI?

Safe standing
at 08:24 11 Jun 2015

Dortmund loses 15000 for champions league games because not all of the standing section there is rail seats. The sudtribune is effectively split into two halves, the top half is rail seats and the bottom half is the old style of terracing that we are used to in this country. The loss of capacity comes because the old style terracing is replaced by temporary seats for champions league games.

Interestingly, they also have fences at the front of their stands, the difference being that in the event of an evacuation the fences can be completely opened in order to allow people onto the pitch if required.

Having been to Dortmund a few times I would say the standing definitely improves the atmosphere. Dortmund themselves may be something a bit special and a bit different compared to 'ordinary' football teams, but they also have a standing section for away fans which on my visits has also been a lot louder than the away seating section.

I'm all for it, let's get safe standing in, give people the option. It would also eradicate all the stupid infighting of 'everyone should stand up', 'but I want to sit down' as people would have the option of where to go.

Ramsey should get the job
at 08:11 9 Mar 2015

SoG - I assume your only aim on this message board is to wind people up, however...

Ramsey didn't have a go at our fans. Not once. He has suggested that Rio Ferdinand and his overall game may be helped more by our fans encouraging him rather than singing that he ought to retire. I think he is probably 100% spot on, don't you?!

I'm not sure when our fan base became this spoilt mess that it currently is. Yes we've been treated to some sh!t over the past few years, and yes we have had to endure some awful players just turning up for the money, but surely that would make us appreciate when we have a team of players that are at least trying, even if they aren't good enough.

One thing that I don't think you can say about Rio is that he lacks any effort. Same for most of our current squad imo, except for maybe Niko.

On the original topic, I don't know if Ramsey is the right person for the job, but there has been an improvement in matches against some very good sides, and if that improvement continues against the lesser teams in our games to come then I think he may well prove to be the right choice.

How bad is my view?!
at 11:36 27 Feb 2015

Okay, I've just found myself available for the game on Wednesday so got online and bought my tickets. I've bought restricted view (I was surprised we had any seats that aren't a restricted view!) in R block, row Y, seats 30 and 31.

Now when it says restricted view I assume that is because of that stupid camera position they have put up there. Can anyone shed any light on how much of the view it actually restricts? Will I be watching the Loft end only?

Thanks!

Okay, mistakenly thought we could purchase 2 extra tickets as opposed to just two and am now one ticket short for my brother.

Anyone out there who won't be taking up their allocation of tickets for the home leg and would like to help out? It would be much appreciated.

Last away game I do for a while
at 10:32 12 Mar 2014

Morgan...

If that was you, can I ask how much it achieved?

As it is, I was already standing and singing, so I don't take the shouting personally. But how many fans stood up and started singing after you shouted at them? How many sat there looking threatened and probably even more fed up? I think you probably know the answer deep down.

Last away game I do for a while
at 01:49 12 Mar 2014

Let's start by saying I don't think we were that bad tonight. We bossed the game for 75 minutes and let in two soft goals to gift them the game.

But two reasons I will be leaving away games for a while...

1 - I don't identify with the players, and they don't identify with us. BAE stood on the wing tonight, completely open and waiting for the ball. But that was it, waiting. If it came, great. If not, oh well. The players don't care for the shirt or the club and frankly, I don't care for them. I want QPR to win, but I couldn't give a hoot about the players that are currently wearing the hoops.

2 - I stand up at away games. I sing at away games. Not everyone does, it's a choice. To see one of our fans running up and down the aisle getting in peoples faces and shouting at them to 'fücking stand up you c"nts' is disgusting. The division amongst the fans is depressing beyond belief. If you've travelled down from London on a weeknight to follow rangers then you have done your bit. There is no obligation to stand and sing, regardless of your beliefs.

I've just had enough of the club at the moment and my hard earned money and time won't be going on something that, frankly, I don't enjoy doing any more.
