The period when we had success last season was with a 4-3-3.
Morgan, Varane and Field all played together.
We then went back to 2 and we fell apart. Why we can’t accommodate three of our better players each game remains a mystery to me. We even have some capable subs to replace and rotate them and a couple of defenders that could easily step into midfield.
Seems like a very simple solution. |

You can post all these great training videos, mic Bould up and big up the coaching on socials but it’s completely meaningless when it doesn’t make it into the pitch.
It’s really poor stuff - so far.

Maybe what we really need is an intensive, international preseason camp to get the team ready…..
It’s like they haven’t been coached - at all. |

Would we prefer to have a manager/coach that no one else wanted to hire ?
I’m certain that I don’t because they’d probably ensure we get relegated this season.
I know it can be difficult to lose good people but at least they were good for us - for a while.
As for who called who or who started it, it’s largely irrelevant once the decision to move has been made. Move on and try to find someone/something better. |

Yeah, and we also got mullered down the other side last week, just for the sake of balance.
I hope Bould addresses that issue in his coaching because it only takes a decent press or break from us handing over possession halfway with no one tracking back.
Paal always looked better with a bit of cover in front and organisation from JCS or Morrison at LCB. Also allowed him to get forward more. |
