Will The Palace Game Get the Go-Ahead? Tuesday, 21st Dec 2010 10:36 Selhurst Park, the home of Crystal Palace, as many will know, is an old stadium and ground that has none of the facilities needed to cope with the freezing temperatures. Unless there is a change in the weather, City's Boxing Day encounter with the Londoners could be called off. Palace has teetered on the edge of being wound up not so very long ago, and the new consortium has had to plough a lot of money into survival measures, for which they are to be applauded. It does mean, though, that it will be some time before the club can carry out renovations and updates to a stadium that, quite frankly, belongs in the last century.
