Neil Warnock has declined the chance to cash in on two players in 24 hours.

Having sanctioned a meagre reported £250,000 deal for Andy Lonergan to move on to Bolton, Warnock appears not to be prepared to let Robert Snodgrass leave Leeds on the cheap as well.

It has been claimed that Norwich have made a derisory offer of £1.5m for Snodgrass, which understandably Leeds have turned down flat.

If true it is £2m less than Norwich were prepared to pay a year ago.

Warnock clearly wants Captain Snodgrass to stay, even though he is a free agent next summer and Leeds could lose him for nothing in 12 months time and appeared to take a tough stance, but did hint that Snodgrass's head "could be turned" by the lure of the Premiership.

Due to the protracted "t- word" farce, Warnock is clearly having to wheel and deal to get new faces in. Having sold Adam Clayton to Huddersfield, the funds were clearly assigned to bring in Paddy Kenny enabling the Leeds boss to release Lonergan and expectedly now make a move for Rodolph Austin, who appeared to say his goodbyes to Sk Brann at the weekend and invite Leeds to come and get him.

A significant influx of cash, such as selling Snodgrass or fellow Scot Ross McCormack would enable Warnock to pursue other long-standing targets such as Luke Varney and Lee Peltier, Peltier today reportedly subject to a failed £650,000 bid from Huddersfield.
