Championship football returns to the Liberty Stadium tomorrow when Nottingham Forest arrive for the second league fixture

It has been 24 years coming but finally the Swans can welcome 2nd tier football again to the City and a crowd of over 17,000 is expected to turn out for the occasion although disappointingly there are only around 1000 expected to make the trip from Nottingham.  That figure in itself puts into perspective the 3300 the Swans took last week to Charlton for the opening game of the season and hopefully the superb support will be rewarded with the first three points of the season.

Both the sides in action tomorrow were promoted last season - the Swans 10 points in advance of their visitors although Forest have again spent big in the summer compared to the relatively small amounts splashed out by the Swans.   But that doesn't worry our manager and it shouldn't overly worry us especially when you consider that Forest tried the same tactics for three years in League One and still could end only 10 points behind the Swans.

And the Swans will be keen to put behind them the disappointing start to the season last weekend when they were undone by two set pieces at the Valley and with the news that both Angel Rangel and Gorka Pintado should be fit for the game it is a strong looking side that Roberto is likely to put out for the game.  And that side will look something like this

De Vries

Collins     Monk     Williams     Painter

Butler     Pratley     Bodde     Britton     Orlandi

Scotland

In truth though that was just a random team selection with an element of truth I am not professing at this point in time to be able to second guess what Roberto is thinking when he plans his weekend team.

Nottingham Forest winger Arron Davies is a major injury doubt after suffering a calf strain against Morecambe.

Boss Colin Calderwood will definitely be without Andrew Cole (calf), Joe Garner (knee), Paul Anderson (thigh) and Nathan Tyson (hamstring).

And for those of you that haven't yet participated in this season's prediction league or more importantly have not predicted this game you can do so at this link
