Dale will have their first ever game against FC Halifax Town in pre season when they visit the Shay on Saturday 13th July.

In what will be the last game to be added to the preseason schedule, Dale will head to West Yorkshire to renew rivalries with Halifax Town.

The twp team's paths crossed earlier this year, when due to pitch problems at the Shay, Town were forced to play a home game at Spotland against Stalybridge Celtic.

The Shay has been something of a lucky ground for Dale, with five wins in our last six visits for competitive fixtures. Our last visit saw late goals from Lee McEvilly and Patrick McCourt seal a late win against the ten men side.
