![]() Thursday, 30th May 2013 08:04 Matt Mills is close to joining Leeds in a £1m deal, according to Sportsmail. It seems to be a recurring story over the past few-weeks that Brian McDermott will be reunited with the centre-back he picked up from Doncaster and moulded into a £5m star at Reading, although it had to be said the buyers were no other than Leicester City who at the time were spending silly money on anyone and everyone. Having failed at Leicester, Mills moved to Bolton last summer in a cut price £2m switch but reading some Bolton fans comments about him and Dougie Freedman's apparent willingness to move him out, are Leeds picking up a bargain buy or a player who has totally lost his way? If it does go through then the fee would provide some reassurance to the fans as it has been years since we paid anything like a seven-figure transfer-fee. Mills is also thought to be on £25,000 a week, which apparently is significantly more than our present highest earner.
