McCarey has played in every game since arriving on loan at Molineux but has gone back following first-choice stopper Murphy's return to fitness. The 23-year-old said on Twitter: 'Thanks to all at @officialpompey really enjoyed my time there. Great club and fully expect to see them promoted come end of season.' The Irishman had spoken of his hopes of extending his Fratton stay following Tuesday night's draw with Stevenage. McCarey played six times for the Blues. Meanwhile forward Adam McGurk is likely to be back in action around the end of October as he gets over an ankle injury suffered in the pre-match warm-up atBristol Rovers last month.
