A Christmas message from Bonkers For Boro Monday, 21st Dec 2020 19:11 by Phil Spencer It's Christmas time and at this point every other year we're usually gearing up for work parties, family gatherings and a standard Christmas Eve night out in Yarm. Unfortunately this year is a going to be a bit different. For everyone it's going to be odd, for some it'll be downbeat and for more than you think it will be utterly miserable. I'm sure you've all seen the latest government guidelines and for many people they will scupper what we were hoping for as a relatively normal Christmas. You can't argue with the science and while the timing is shocking at best, it's hard to dispute the decision based on the safety of the country. But that doesn't mean it's not incredibly shit. Big family Christmases will now be limited to a small handful of family members, while for some the guidelines might mean a Christmas spent alone. That might feel like a crap way to spend the day, but please do remember that you're not alone. At Bonkers For Boro we're incredibly proud of the fanbase that follows Middlesbrough and if 2020 has taught us anything it's that as a group we're as loyal as they come. But as well as being loyal to Neil Warnock's boys this Christmas, let's be loyal to each other. It's going to be a tough Christmas but as members of the Red Army we have a duty to be there for our fellow supporter. Whatever your circumstance, gender, sexuality, race or even if your favourite Celebration is a Bounty, we're still all one and the same. That's why we're wanting to do our bit to help. Over this Christmas period we're wanting to start a conversation to make sure that every Boro fan has someone to talk to. That means that our DMs are our, our feed will be manned and our forums will be there as a platform to ensure that regardless of your plans, you'll have someone to have a natter about Middlesbrough to. If you want to chat you can find in the following places: Head to Twitter HERE Head to Facebook HERE Head to our Bonkers For Boro forum HERE The circumstances are crap but if we all stick together we can make sure that no one is left feeling too miserable. Football is important but people are even more so, so let's pull together and do our bit for our fellow Boro fan. Take care of yourselves and others - Merry Christmas.
