Two first half goals from Ian Henderson and a second half goal from David Perkins secured ther U's their latest pre-season friendly win.

John Ward used the game as a chance to have another look at trialists Ben Coker and Lloyd James, but James Walker did not play a part.

In goal for the U's in the second half was former Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Millwall and Coventry City keeper Andy Marshall, who was released by Aston Villa last season having not made an appearance for the Premier League side.

Meanwhile, Joel Thomas, a face which U's fans have not scene for a while, was at game training with the players, but didn't get on the pitch.

Second Half: Marshall, Wilson, Okuonghae, Reid, Tierney, Izzet (Corcoran 60), Perkins (Vincent 60), James, Wordsworth, Gillespie (Hackney 60), Platt (Odejayi 60)
