He's fit to play according to Coleman just now anyway. (Well, 'should be').

Oh good, that means that there is nothing broken or torn, and that its just bruising/soreness.

For the safety of the player, opposing teams, and ref.. A substitution was the only call.

I thought 'experts' were bulletproof.

The awkward moment when a Welsh Club become the Champions of England.. shh The Swansea Way.. To upset the odds.

great news that he's fit not just for Wales, a broken collar bone would have been bad for all concerned

You're a monotonous bore, Jasp. The vast majority of people would praise Ash's bravery. Not you though, because you're edgy innit.

Whether he did or not, he was injured, not capable of playing at 100% and was a liability for the final few minutes.

Leader - absolutely
Legend - arguably, certainly getting there

He should still have come off though

Hurt feelings, then. Okay.

This thread is obviously divided in their judgement of Ash's decision (and Coleman's to let Ash make it). "Vast majority" it is not.

This thread is nowhere near an accurate sample of Welsh football fans. There are quite clearly a few conceited individuals, like yourself, that are persistently negative.

Nothing to do with hurt feelings, Jasp. I have no idea who you are but you've been quite active recently and the vast majority of your posts are riddled with pessimistic tedium.

As you were.

The professional medical personnel should have made a decision based on their assessment of the injury and advised the Manager accordingly, the Manager should then have immediatly acted in accordance with their advice, the player had no say in the matter.

Watch the replay of him screaming 'I'm fine'. He had a lot of say in the matter.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Ash was full of Adrenalin and wanted to continue.

He is a leader and a legend and not a footballer who falls over his own shadow.

He got on with it and will be probably be playing rugby league next!

"Gylfi's on fire, your defence is terrified!"

He certainly did. There's a partnership there between Ash & the players and Cookie and his backroom team. That bond between them is probably why they are in France in the first place.

It's all would haves, could haves. He stayed on, he saw the game out, they're through.

BBC Wales reporting that Ash will be fit for Friday so clearly nothing serious. Some people really will look for anything to bash our club and national captain. Bizarre.
